As an author, you should never use age as a limit when it comes to writing and publishing your material. You can still leave a mark in the industry even if you start writing late. When it comes to writing no one can actually put an age limit. It all depends on your skills and your creative abilities to captivate your readers.
The infographic is basically made up some of the most famous authors who have graced the literature field. The different colours distinguish the periods while the numbers represent the age that the authors made a mark in the industry. For example, the light blue colour highlights the time period taken by an author before they begun writing. From the infographic you can clearly note that the Frank McCourt started publishing his books at a very late age. He waited until he was 65 years to start writing.
On the other hand, the yellow colour represent the time period before a given author had their first book published. For example: Laura Ingalls Wilder; it took her a while before realizing her success in the industry let alone the fact that she ventured into the industry at the age of 44 years old. It took her until when she was 64 years old before getting her first book published.
The orange colour represents the period between getting your first book published and publishing one of your most successful books. For example: William S. Burroughs realized that he had a passion in writing at the age of 37 years old. Between the ages of 39 and 46years old, he published his most successful book in the industry the ''Junky''.
The purple colour is a representation of the years that the author enjoyed most of their success. For example: William S. Burroughs enjoyed most of his success between the years 46 and 83.
